French and New York based saxophonist Alex Terrier is a member of the Grammy Award winning Mingus Big Band. He leads several of his own projects and travel the world as a demanded sideman, guest artist and clinician.

His new album is featuring his Afro-Cuban band and will be released in 2019. His previous album was recorded with legendary pianist Kenny Barron. He has shared the stage and/or recorded with luminaries such as Paquito D’Rivera, Juan Ospina, Joe Farnsworth, George Garzone, Esperanza Spalding, Joe Lovano, Roberto Fonseca, Idan Raichel, Vieux Farka Toure, just to name a few.

After studying at the National School Of Music in France, he went to Berklee College Of Music in Boston in 2004 to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Performance and Composition.

He has helped hundreds of musicians to develop and nurture their talent through the website

"Alex is a very gifted and expressive saxophonist. He has shown in performance a very strong developing conception as a composer and a soloist"

Joe Lovano

"Alex is a very impressive saxophonist and composer who has organized some beautiful and exciting music with wonderful contributions by notable young players active on the New York scene these days. Terrier has a compelling sound and approach that should interest the serious listener"

Dave Liebman

"Alex Terrier can play all the saxophones, but his soprano is one of the more poetic and naturally sounding expressions heard out of that horn in a long while. Terrier's sax sings with the articulation and cadence of a mockingbird, using the instrument as an extension of purely human expression"

S. Victor Aaron,

"A first-rate composer"
